Brown Employee Appreciation and Recognition

Brown University

University Human Resources at Brown University helps brown appreciate and recognize staff each year, most notably at their annual B.E.A.R. Day event.  Designated vendor, Bravo Charlie Delta, has been chosen to create video content for the event since 2009.  First the the video is screened for the Brown community during the event. Then Brown includes the video in HR web portal and other electronic communications.

B.E.A.R. Day 2018

Learning about the time you’ve spent, the work you do and the impact you’ve had with special guest, President Christina Paxson. Interviews with Excellence Award winners shot in the offices at South Street Landing.

B.E.A.R. Day 2017

A fun F.A.Q. version of the B.E.A.R. Day video addressing common questions about the event.

B.E.A.R. Day 2016

Staff leave their mark at Brown. This video was fun to make! First, we recorded staff as they design post-it notes and apply them to our custom built wall. Then, the video and the physical wall of post-its were displayed at the 2016 B.E.A.R. Day ceremony.

B.E.A.R. Day 2015

In 2015 we first incorporated personal mementos, and then some light hearted questions about character. As a result, we reveal things you probably never knew about your colleagues. Featuring the beautiful interiors of Maddock Alumni Center as they frame each interview subject.

B.E.A.R. Day 2014

This year we visit Excellence Award recipients and interview them on their own turf. Consequentially, we take a tour of campus and discover more about the award recipients.

B.E.A.R. 2012

In what might be the most bizarre approach to the B.E.A.R Day video to date, we see our Service and Excellence Award winners projected into scenes related to their work. Guest appearance by former President Ruth Simmons.

B.E.A.R. Day 2011

In this experimental video, Brown mascot Bruno and his sidekick Cubby are the crew interviewing service and excellence award recipients. To clarify, Bruno and Cubby actually interviewed service and excellence award recipients. Meanwhile, the suits smelled pretty bad and we almost lost two great team members by the end of the project!

B.E.A.R. Day 2010

Using a green screen we combine a beautiful black and white photo series from Brown Archives with Award Recipients and their mementos. We created quite a few visual effects for this one. As a result, this is probably our most sophisticated production for the event.

B.E.A.R. Day 2009

In raw interviews against grey seamless we playfully learn about the heart and soul of the Brown community. This was our first, and therefore, most special B.E.A.R. Day video.
